She further thanked Arjun Kapoor who became her first friend in the industry. "You became my first friend from the industry and will always remain so," she wrote along with a heart emoji.

Helmed by Habib Faisal, and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, the film marked the debut of Arjun Kapoor.

Since then Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti have starred in two films - Namaste England and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar. The latter, directed by Dibakar Banerjee, is yet to release.
