keep the old N56J laptop or buy a new tabletPC like IPad

I have an old laptop ASUS N56J manufactured in 2015. It is equipped with a i7-4700 quadcore CPU, NV 840m GPU, 8GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The secondhand market value for this machine is around 300USD in my country.

But now I am considering buying a new tablet PC, either Samsung S6+ or Apple IPad Air.

Wanna know how you guys think about the actual needs for most users.
