"My children are my top priority in life" - says Nawazuddin Siddiqui who recently separated from wife Aaliya

Although Nawazuddin Siddiqui is going through an extremely tangled divorce, he maintains his equilibrium quite admirably.

Not willing to speak on the matter, he says, “It is a very personal conflict that I am going through, and one that I cannot and won’t discuss in public. There are families involved, lives are at stake, including very young children who don’t understand what’s happening.”

Nawazuddin Siddiqui says his children are of the deepest concern for him. “I love my children and I don’t want them to suffer in any way because of what’s happening. Seeing their welfare and ensuring their future is top priority for me.”

Nawazuddin Siddiqui married Anjali in 2009 and she changed her name to Aaliya. The marriage ended earlier this year. They have two children daughter Shora and son Yani. In an earlier conversation, Nawazuddin had said he would never want his daughter to be an actor in Bollywood.
