At Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF), Shah Rukh Khan says, 'I wish people are able to multiply their earnings'

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan attended the inauguration of the 26th Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) on Friday, virtually. Describing the people of the nation as his extended family, he dedicated the year 2021 to the extended family.
“A family does not necessarily mean just sons and daughters and parents. I think it implies extended family people of the states the entire country. One must resolve to work for this extended family in 2021, after the pandemic-hit 2020,” Khan said in his speech.
"I am good at dance and singing and entertaining on the screens. I know to win people's hearts Heart suit I pledge and we should all pledge that from today onwards all of us should do our respective work for the country," he added.
Attending the festival virtually from Mumbai, Shah Rukh Khan said that he felt sorry for not being present in person as he had attended all the events since 2011. "It is time to do some social work whether it is through work of entertainment, whether it is through groundwork helping people as is being done by great leaders like Didi (West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee)," he said in his speech.
"We, actors and actresses are good at giving social messages, but from this year, it's time to do the actual social work, whether it is through our field of work. By going on the ground, to put forth a message of peace, happiness, and harmony," he added. He wished everyone good luck and said, "I wish people are able to multiply their earnings."
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is currently filming Yash Raj Films' Pathan. The movie stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
