Lava launched the new Z series in India

Lava was planning something like this for a while and it has brought some really good smartphones in the new year. The latest Lava Z series has 4 new smartphones in India and the devices boast of being designed and manufactured in India. Along with this, the latest My Z and ZUp plans in the smartphones seem to be really cool. My Z lets users build their own Lava Z-series phone by choosing their own specifications like RAM, internal storage and even the camera setup and ZUp plan allows users of the Lava Z2, Z4, Z6 and My-Z phones to upgrade the RAM/internal storage of their phones within the first year of the purchase at a minimal cost.

While all these Lava smartphones are powered by a Mediatek chipset, all of these are in the budget segment. It would be interesting to see how these customizable smartphones attract the users and if at all the users are interested in choosing such options.
